Is a Wedding Planner Worth it? Southwest MO Wedding Vendor Spotlight

French Inspired Wedding Shoot - Springfield, MO Wedding Planner - Springfield, MO Wedding Photographer - Southwest, MO Wedding Vendors

Should I hire a wedding planner? Is it worth it to hire a wedding planner? I feel like those are two huge questions of a new bride. We all know weddings are expensive, but some things are definitely worth the investment for your big day.

Do you ever wonder how those Pinterest-worthy weddings are able to come to life? Nine times out of ten, there is a brilliant wedding planner behind the magic. Yes, some people do it all themselves. However, that also causes a lot of extra, unnecessary stress and anxiety on your wedding day for you and your friends or family. You or your loved ones end up missing big moments because they are busy with behind the scenes things that you shouldn't have to be.

What if I let you in on a little secret...

The answer to the burning questions above is: yes, always.

Meet Kimmy, the owner of Kimmy Ann Events. Not only is she a mastermind when it comes to bringing your wedding dreams to life, but she's the kindest soul. When you meet with her at your consultation, I have a feeling that you'll want to be best friends with her by the end of it.

When you talk with her, she truly listens and focuses on the most important thing, you. She is genuine in wanting to make your day special for you and your loved ones. By hiring a wedding planner, you get to truly soak in every moment of the day instead of racing around trying to get things done. You don't have to worry about tracking down batteries for the candles, or rearranging centerpieces until they look right. You will get to have your mom help you into your dress, your sister wipe away your happy tears after your first look, and overall spend the most precious time with those closest to you.

I personally feel like one of the biggest aspects to take into account when working with someone is trust. You have to be able to whole-heartedly trust them with whatever it may be. When you hire me, it's trusting me that I will be able to provide you with images that will allow you to relive and tell your story for years to come. When you hire Kimmy, it's trusting her that she will bring your wedding dreams come to life when you approach the ceremony and reception site for the first time.

From my experience, it seems like when you decorate and do it all yourself, you don't get the full effect of the day. There's something so serene about opening the doors, rounding the corner, etc to your ceremony site and seeing it just as you envisioned for the first time. Can you believe how special that would feel? Seeing the magic of your wedding day come together, and your significant other standing at the end of the aisle waiting for you? Pure perfection.

I encourage you to take the time to just have a consultation. Sit back and chat with a coffee and see where it leads you. You may be pleasantly surprised by the end of it! If you're still unsure after that, my go to answer is always to pray about it. He will never steer you wrong!
